Veralyn Self

Veralyn has lived in Derby for 13 years with her husband and eight children. In 1996, she received a BS in Political Science from the University of Utah. Veralyn went back to school and in May 2022 earned an AA in Paralegal Studies from Hutchinson Community College. Veralyn worked as a Paraprofessional at Derby North Middle School for three years. She enjoys volunteering and, since moving to Derby, has held a variety of positions on the board of the Derby Swim Club and chaired and participated in events for her children’s schools. Reading and watching her children participate in their activities are two of her favorite pastimes. Veralyn is excited to join the DCF.
