About This Scholarship

The Decarsky Foundation was a private foundation, formed in 2007 by Tomp and Vicki Decarsky, with one of its major interests being the support of our community with educational scholarships.

The scholarship recipients may apply to the Selection Committee for annual renewal for three additional years if attending a four-year university or for one additional year if attending a community college. If the recipient graduating from a community college elects to continue his or her education at a four-year university that recipient may apply to the Selection Committee for renewal of the scholarship annually for two additional years with an annual scholarship amount of $4,000.00.

• Demonstrates a sincere affinity for entrepreneurship and the free enterprise system
• Gainfully employed
• GPA of 2.75
• Full-time student (at least 12 hours)

• PDF of most recent college transcript, titled “[Your Name] Transcript”

• March 31: Renewal application submission deadline.
• April: Recipients will be notified via email by the end of April.
• June 15: If you are changing colleges, check your email! CommunityGiving will verify that you are enrolled as a full-time student at the college. (Full-time enrollment is typically 12-16 credit hours)
• June: Inform your college that you have received the scholarship.
• September 1: Full payment will arrive at your college unless otherwise notified.
