Elizabeth Kinch Generosity Award
Each year the Derby Community Foundation will recognize an individual for his/her generosity in the Derby area by awarding the Elizabeth Kinch Generosity Award. The award recipient will be honored at the Foundation’s annual gala. The Generosity Award recipient will receive a gift basket provided by the Derby Recreation Commission and the opportunity to award a $500 grant to the charity of his/her choice.

Spirit of Philanthropy Award
As part of the Derby Community Foundation’s current Strategic Plan, a new annual award was added in 2023. The Spirit of Philanthropy Award was created to recognize someone who uses the Derby Community Foundation as the vehicle for their philanthropic efforts. One of the primary functions of the Community Foundation is to be a conduit for connecting generous people with the needs of the community.
