Hometown Military Hero Banners

The Derby Community Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Derby, offered Hometown Military Hero Banners project to provide area residents an opportunity to honor local military veterans while raising funds for DCF’s Veterans Memorial and Operating Endowment Funds. Throughout this three-year project, banners were displayed on light poles along the Buckner Business District and on K-15 south of Buckner to the Derby city limits.

We are proud to share that this project has now come to a close. This meaningful effort was made possible through strong collaboration with the City of Derby and the support of our community. Banners will remain on display through October 2026, continuing to honor our local heroes in the months ahead.
